“ I have lived in North Carolina for 5 years and I have never been to Parker's. Boy have I been missing out! The Brunswick stew, a regional hearty stew, is fantastic. The star is the pulled BBQ is fantastic and the vinegar sauce is perfect. The banana shaped hush puppies are very addictive too. A Local landmark. Wonderful! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ”

“ Wow!! Could not have picked a better place for a "Lupper" (late lunch/early supper)!! The service was spectacular!! Brandon, our waiter, was above and beyond. Everyone there was equally exceptional, including Blake. (Enjoyed the conversation) And the food , BBQ was great, fried Chicken yummy, Boiled Potatoes tasty, crunchy fried Okra, and luscious NC Style Coleslaw . And did I mention the Banana Pudding? Portions were plentiful, with pitchers of Tea to wash it down with!! Sweet !!!!!! Visited another location a couple of years ago and the experience/service had me avoiding Parker's altogether. Boy, am I glad I have a "3 strikes and you're out" rule!!! Will not hesitate to return to the original Parker's..... ”
“ We were pleasantly surprised with our first experience visiting Parkers BBQ. The food was good and plentiful, we opted for the 'all you can eat' family style dinner. You start out with as many choices as you want. The fried chicken and BBQ was really good. Especially liked the slaw, livers, green beans and hush puppies. Our server was friendly and attentive which we liked. I guess my only suggestion would be smaller portions to start as you can order more when you're ready .... Felt bad leaving some food on the table uneaten. ”
“ I have always loved Parker’s Barbecue and today is no different. The food was fantastic. The barbecue is season correctly. The fried chicken was super hot probably right out of the oil and very crispy. The potatoes were tasty and the slow and just the right texture. The only reason I took off one star for service is the young man was a little slow to service refills. That is a big selling point for me as the refills However, I did still a good tip. I love that all of their weight staff are males that are going to college. Their females are working the counter and administrative jobs. Call it sexist or not. It’s what they’ve done for years and it works for their business for their clients and for that city. ”

“ I was the delighted on the taste of the banana pudding. It was so amazing and decadent the flavors of the sweetness and the spongy cake that’s in it. It is divine. my server Connor was very respectful and amazing. He made sure to be attentive and overall great. I also love the hush puppy and corn stick combo was an amazing meal overall. I highly recommend Parkers barbecue from the amazing food, delicious desserts, and amazing wait staff. ”
